When standing on earth you will only ever see 59% of the surface of the moon. The other 41%, often referred to as the Far Side or Dark Side of the moon, remained a mystery until it was first photographed by the Soviet probe, Lunik, in 1959. As one would expect, it is far more heavily cratered than the Near Side of the moon, having taken the brunt of asteroid strikes that would otherwise have plowed into Earth.... nice thought, eh !
Anyway, here are a selection of lunar photos I have taken and as with all the other galleries, I hope to be adding to it as time, technology and ability allow.
